Booking & Appointments
- How do I book an appointment?
- You can book online using our booking form on the Contact page, call us on 01493 650 706, or visit us in person. We recommend booking in advance as appointments can fill quickly.
- How much notice do I need to give to cancel or reschedule?
- We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee. Please call us as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment.
- Do I need to pay a deposit?
- Deposits may be required for long appointments (such as colour correction, Cavi Lipo courses or bridal packages). We'll let you know at the time of booking if a deposit is required.
- Can I choose which team member I see?
- Yes - you can request a specific stylist or therapist when booking. Where possible, we'll accommodate your preference. For specialist services such as APL hair removal, you will always see Louise King.
Hair Services
- Why do I need a patch test before a colour service?
- Hair colour products contain chemicals that can cause allergic reactions in a small percentage of people. A patch test involves applying a small amount of product to the skin 48 hours before your appointment. If there is no reaction, it is safe to proceed. Patch tests are mandatory for all new colour clients and for anyone who has not had a colour service with us in the last 6 months.
- How should I prepare for a balayage appointment?
- Come with your hair in its natural state - washed and dried (or slightly damp is fine). Bring reference images of the colour result you're hoping to achieve. If this is a consultation, there's nothing specific to prepare - just come with your ideas and questions.
- How long will my colour last?
- This depends on the type of colour and your hair care routine. Permanent colour typically lasts 4–8 weeks before significant regrowth is visible. Balayage and highlights can last 3–6 months before needing a refresh. Using a colour-safe, sulphate-free shampoo significantly extends colour longevity.
- Can I have my hair coloured while pregnant?
- Many clients continue with colour services during pregnancy. We recommend waiting until after the first trimester and discussing your plans with your midwife or doctor. We use professional products and ensure adequate ventilation. The final decision should be based on your own medical advice.
Beauty Treatments
- How should I prepare for APL hair removal?
- Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment (do not wax, thread or pluck). Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including self-tan) for 4 weeks before treatment. Remove any cosmetics, deodorant or body lotion from the treatment area before your session.
- Is Cavi Lipo suitable for everyone?
- Cavi Lipo is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding clients, those with pacemakers, liver or kidney disease, active infections, cancer or certain other conditions. A consultation is required before treatment to assess suitability.
- How many sessions are needed for APL hair removal?
- Most clients need 4–6 sessions to achieve permanent hair reduction. Hair grows in cycles, and the APL light only effectively targets follicles in the active growth phase - multiple sessions at intervals of 4–8 weeks ensure all follicles are treated.
- Can I combine treatments on the same day?
- Many treatments can be combined on the same day - for example, a hair appointment followed by a nail service, or a facial with a lash tint. Some combinations are not advisable (e.g., waxing and APL in the same area). We'll advise on any restrictions at your consultation.
Payments & Policy
- How do I find out what a treatment will cost?
- We don't publish individual service prices on the website. Current promotional offers and package deals are listed on our Offers page. For everything else, your stylist or therapist will discuss costs with you at your consultation before any service begins.
- Do you offer payment plans for courses?
- For longer courses such as Cavi Lipo or APL hair removal, please speak to us about payment options. We want treatments to be accessible and will do our best to accommodate you.
- What is your policy on returns or refunds for treatments?
- As treatments are personal services, we are unable to offer refunds once a treatment has been carried out. If you are unhappy with your treatment, please contact us within 48 hours and we will do everything we can to address your concerns.
