The Process
Consultation & Patch Test
Agree on highlight placement and the degree of lift. A patch test is booked 48 hours beforehand for new clients.
Foil Application
Your colourist systematically sections the hair and wraps chosen sections in foils with lightener or colour, leaving to develop to the desired shade.
Rinse, Tone & Finish
After developing, a toner is applied to refine the shade and add shine, followed by conditioning and a professional blowdry.
Aftercare Advice
Use colour-safe, sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner
Apply a weekly conditioning mask to maintain shine and strength
Protect highlighted hair from UV damage with a UV-protective hair product
Book regular toner refresh appointments to keep the colour looking its best

- What is foilayage?
- Foilayage combines the precision of foil highlights with the soft, blended technique of balayage. The hair is painted freehand inside foils, giving a bolder result than open-air balayage but softer than traditional foils.
- What are babylights?
- Babylights are very fine, delicate highlights applied in tiny sections throughout the hair to mimic the natural highlights children have. They create an incredibly natural, multi-tonal result.
